Military Families & Transitions
Military Service Members, Veterans and their families often face challenges connected to the hardships and stress of service, trauma and sacrifices to serve. When service members return, they are encouraged to seek counseling to help themselves and their families adjust.
Military Families & Transitions
Military service members, Veterans, and their families often face unique challenges. This could look like a service member adjusting back home after serving, or a military member or Veteran struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Reaching out for professional support can be helpful and important to a more easeful, connecting, and positive adjustment back into the family when service members return home.
Military service members, Veterans, and their families often face hardships connected to having a family member in the service. Oftentimes, the children and family of the military service member and Veteran are also impacted and stressed due to sacrifices they also make in service such as separations, deployments, mobilizations, change of duty stations, and change of homes and schools. Departing from the military and transition from Service Member to Veteran can pose additional challenges. However, no service member or their family has to go through it alone.
Support for those who have served, and their families, requires an understanding of the rigors and stressors of military service. My practice brings a blend of experiences, including my own service in the Army Reserves and mobilizations, experiences treating soldiers and their families, and providing readjustment services as Military Service Members transition to civilian life and Veteran status.
